US Woordfees is back!

Posted on Wed February 6, 2019.

Celebrating its 19th year running, the University of Stellenbosch’s Woordfees is back! This unique festival held from 1 – 10 March is a celebration of all things South African, and Stellenbosch and the perfect playground for writers, musicians, and artists of all kinds.

The City of Oaks will really live up to its name this year, with the Oak lined Victoria Street being the main street of the festival that runs through the University Campus.

With over 1000 performances there really is something for everyone. Bookworms can get lost in the ATKV Book Tent and Book Oasis beneath the shade at Wilgenhof, while jazz cats can sway to the beats in the Visual Arts Square at the Sanlam Musiekfees.

After a long day of exploring, enjoying and engaging under the summer sun, a quick 10-minute Uber ride will bring you to our little oasis just off the Helshoogte Pass overlooking the Hottentots Holland Mountains. We invite you to relax in one of our many luxurious suites, fitted with aircon and Wi-Fi and take a dip in our elegant infinity pool.

Our friendly staff members are happy to share information on the hot spots in town, and aim to make your stay the best one yet!

Contact us to book your suite and make your summer an unforgettable one!
