We look into the colours of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2019 season and how these splashes of colour have been incorporated at De Zeven.

The spring/summer 2019 colour palette

The forerunners in colour trends, Pantone revealed the colours of the season for Spring/Summer 2019.

The Pantone.com website revealed the following: "The mindset for Spring/Summer 2019 reflects our desire to face the future with empowering colors that provide confidence and spirit; colors that are uplifting; joyful hues that lend themselves to playful expressionism and take us down a path of creative and unexpected combinations. This season’s report features the top 12 stand out colors, as well as current takes on the four classic neutrals."

As seen from the Pantone colour palette above, the vibrant colours of Fiesta, Jester Red, Turmeric and Living Coral are prominent, and variations of yellow and rich greens feature throughout.

What the colour palette means for fashion and decor

Pantone.com continues, "Bringing together high fashion and street style, the mindset for Spring/Summer 2019 transcends seasonality for both men’s and women’s fashion. Vibrant without being overpowering, highlighted shades illustrate our desire for authenticity and our continued need for creativity and relatable, accessible design."

This resonates with us at De Zeven as we strive to integrate colour in our design that speaks of a lifestyle of "the new luxury" - to bring our guests experiences that are grounded in nature and uplift their spirit.

The influence of colour at De Zeven

Avid followers of local art, the owners of De Zeven enjoy pops of colour in the delicate objects d'art at De Zeven. When visiting the lodge, guests will feel the same sense of immersion in a subtle world of colour, where objects are tastefully placed to compliment the furniture and architecture.

Often inspired by the colours found in the natural surroundings of the Banhoek Valley, De Zeven's look and feel is a celebration of the area and its rich treasures.
