De Zeven is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers in Stellenbosch. Guests can conveniently start their adventure right from our doorstep, with access to extensive trails that traverse the entire valley. Experience the awe-inspiring presence of nature firsthand as you venture along approximately 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) of paths through the beautiful Banhoek Valley and its surrounding mountains. After a day filled with outdoor activities, return to De Zeven where we provide storage and hose facilities for all your gear and equipment.

The town of Stellenbosch was founded in 1679, making it the second oldest European settlement after Cape Town. Stroll over lush lawns, past fountains and streams, and along winding paths burgeoning with flowers. The Cape Floral Kingdom is one of the most diverse areas of flora in the world and the region’s velvety pink proteas, fiery watsonias, prickly pincushions, and flaming aloes are incredibly striking to see in bloom.
